This Special Issue of Heart, Lung and Circulation showcases the contribution by some of Australia’s foremost experts on genetics, cardiac imaging and electrophysiology, and also includes articles from recognised international leaders in sports cardiology such as Aaron Baggish, Benjamin Levine and Hein Heidbuchel. cardiac domain, including imaging, electrophysiology, screening, exercise medicine and physiology, sudden death, coronary artery disease, inherited diseases, pitch-side resuscitation, genetics and rehabilitation, as well as an appreciation of the unique effects of some drugs (including illicit and banned drugs) on the cardiovascular system.
